The Reverend William H. Searight, Pastor & Head of Staff

In June of 2025, NSPC welcomed Rev. Bill Searight as Pastor and Head of Staff. Prior to coming to NSPC, Bill served two churches within the Presbytery of Philadelphia. The first was at First Presbyterian in Springfield (aka Flourtown). From 2016-2025, Bill served at the Presbyterian Church of Llanerch.

Bill grew up in Richardson, TX, a suburb of Dallas, and completed his undergraduate work at Austin College in Sherman, TX, a school with a strong Presbyterian tradition, where he majored in Religion and Philosophy. Bill received his Masters of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA, and also worked as Teaching Assistant for Greek Summer School and Research Assistant for the Howard Thurman Papers Project.

After seminary, Bill served Old Pine Street Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia as Director of Education. Bill received his first call as Pastor at the Presbyterian Churches of Plain Dealing, three rural congregations that functioned (mostly) as one community. While there, Bill chaired the Redesign Task Force to restructure the Presbytery of the Pines into one that encouraged collaboration between congregations in the shared ministry of Jesus Christ.

Bill and his wife Sarah Cooper Searight (also a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the PCUSA) have two wonderful daughters. When not engaged in congregational work or shuttling his daughters to extracurricular activities, Bill likes to relax with a work of literary fiction—short stories and novels–or by catching an arthouse film.

Rev. Dr. Nancy Holt Timothy, Parish Associate

Nancy has an M. Div., from Palmer Seminary; a Th.M. from Princeton Seminary (in Christian Social Ethics), and a D. Min (with an emphasis on Spirituality) from Pittsburgh Seminary. From 2002 until her retirement in 2021, she served as pastor at the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church. Her passions are preaching and mission--she truly loves serving God's people in need (whatever and wherever that need may be!).

Nancy was recently widowed--her husband Joe died on April 20, 2023 after a long bout with Alzheimer's Disease. She is the mother of three sons: Chad, who lives in Pittsburgh; Scott, who with his wonderful wife, Cathy and their five kids live in Broomall, and Kevin and his wonderful wife, Kim, live in Glen Mills with their two children.

Nancy loves to read, to spend time at the beach, and to walk. She also loves meeting new people and making new friends, so she'd be delighted if you reach out and get to know her.
